Sports:
Every kid deserves the chance to play sports. We provide grants to cover youth sports registration fees, travel expenses, and equipment costs when needed. Our mission is to help kids from income-restricted families participate in youth sports, so they too can experience the positive benefits of playing team sports on a competitive level and/or recreational level. We believe sports provides youth an opportunity to experience the decision making process in "real world" situations. We want to provide as many opportunities for student athletes as possible through our foundation.
Scholarship:
A gift to our Scholarship Fund can change the trajectory of a student's life through education. By helping these students pay for portions of college, we are investing in both their future and in the future of our community. We consider all needs; trade school, community college, junior college, and four year institutions. The Merit Scholarship is awarded to students who have been accepted and plan to attend an institution of higher learning. The application process starts in November and students are selected in February of the following year. Students are awarded their scholarship during a Scholars Celebration at the end of each school year.
Performing Arts:
The Stein Foundation supports the performing arts through funding a variety of events. We partner with The Black Academy of Arts and Letters annually to fund summer opportunities for students to participate in student centered productions. The productions include dance, spoken word, costume design, music, and more. These amazing productions are heartwarming and expose students to the vast options in the field of fine arts.
Partnership with other non-profit organizations:
We partner, and provide supplies for organizations such as It's Going to be Okay. This organization helps victims of sex trafficking. We provide clothing, bedding, toiletries, and necessities to help individuals begin to rebuild their lives after traumatic experiences. Every dollar counts and is used to bless someone in need.
